Beit She’an Nights

With soaring daytime temperatures making a trip to Bet She’an an endurance test for much of the year, the nighttime light show is a great option for those who want to visit one of Israel’s most important sights, without the heat of the burning sun.

Take in the 3D-audiovisional presentation as you wander through the colonnaded Roman streets and finish your visit with a performance in the ancient theater. Tours take place every half an hour following darkness on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The streets are ancient, and they can also be a little uneven, so make sure you wear good shoes.

Jerusalem Light Festival

The annual Jerusalem Light Festival, usually held in July, is one of the capital’s biggest draws.

Thousands of people throng the Old City to walk along illuminated paths, to interact with art instillations and just enjoy the glow of the Old City after dark. Each year, the festival gets bigger and bigger.

Best of all, it’s free!

To get the most out of the festival and to avoid the worst of the crowds, arrive before dark and head deep into the Old City to keep ahead of the thronging masses.
