Bahai Gardens
Situated on beautiful Carmel Mountains are the Baha’i Gardens and Shrine of the Bab, a holy site for members of the Baha’i faith. The gardens provide a stunning view of Haifa while serving as an outdoor oasis with colorful trees and flowers everywhere.
Cable Car
Even though the ride itself is a bit short, it’s still a worthwhile experience; you’ll get a bird’s-eye view of Haifa Bay and the scenic Carmel Mountains. The Car can be caught at the Stella Maris Lookout on Mount Carmel or at the Bat Galim Promenade on the beach.
Louis Promenade
Just minutes from all of the museums and attractions, this peaceful promenade situated in the mountains is an ideal place to get a breathtaking view of the city of haifa. On a clear day you can also see the cities of Nahariya and Akko, as well as Rosh HaNikra and Mount Hermon.
HaCarmelit Haifa Subway
Welcome to one of the smallest and shortest subways in the world: 4 cars and only 6 stations, which run on a slant up and down the mountain. The 8-minute ride (from the first stop to the last) circumvents heavy city traffic, making it possible to visit many of Haifa’s museums and sites without a car.
Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art
The museum is dedicated entirely to Japanese art; the only museum of its kind in the Middle East. Its collection includes almost 7000 pieces made up of prints, paintings, texts, ceramics and swords. Even though the majority of art is from the 17th to 19th centuries, there are some contemporary exhibits.
